DAVE - STUDIO MANAGER/SENIOR COACH
With a Bachelor in Exercise and Sports Science and years of experience coaching everyone from weekend warriors to elite athletes at North Melbourne Football Club, Dave brings a wealth of knowledge—and a big dose of humour—to the studio.
Dave is known for his clear communication, genuine care, and endless supply of dad jokes. If you’re new here, he’s probably the friendly voice you’ll hear first on the phone.
Whether you’re chasing better health, more strength, or just a good laugh mid-workout, Dave will make you feel right at home.
CONNOR - HEAD COACH
Originally from New Zealand, Connor has brought his passion for strength training and a wealth of experience to the Surf Coast, where he now calls home with his young family.
With a sharp eye for technique and deep knowledge of all things lifting, there isn’t a deadlift he can’t fine-tune. Connor leads by example—ask him about his 220kg deadlift PB if you need a bit of inspiration!
If you’re new to the studio, Connor will likely be the one guiding you through your induction and setting you up for success.
KATE (WALLY) - COACH
Our resident hype girl, Wally brings unstoppable energy and a big heart to every session. With years of experience in group fitness, she’s passionate about helping people—especially mums—get back into training, build confidence, and make new friends along the way.
As a mum of four herself, Wally knows exactly how to make fitness feel approachable and fun (fueled, of course, by plenty of caffeine). When she’s coaching, you can count on a great workout and plenty of laughs.
DEAN - COACH
Dean brings years of personal training experience to the team, with a passion for helping people discover the life-changing benefits of strength training.
Dean is a big believer that strength is for everyone. He loves breaking down complex lifts and sharing his knowledge in simple, accessible ways (just check out his Instagram for proof!).
When he’s not coaching or working on his own lifts, you’ll find Dean chasing after his two young kids.
EM - COACH
Em is an Exercise and Sports Science graduate who has experienced BFT from both sides—as a dedicated member and now as a passionate coach.
She’s driven by a clear purpose: helping people improve their health and feel confident in their bodies. Known for being a great listener, Em has a natural ability to get to know people and make them feel at ease from day one.
When she’s not in the gym, you’ll find Em out on the netball court representing Queenscliff with the same energy and determination she brings to every session.
